Navigating Supply Chain Certifications

I’ve been looking into supply chain management certifications that could really benefit us as logistics coordinators. Programs like APICS offer valuable insights, but I’m curious if anyone here has specific experiences or recommendations on the best courses available. It’d be great to hear your thoughts.

I’ve found that the APICS certifications are solid, especially for understanding the fundamentals, but don’t overlook some of the online platforms like Coursera. I took a course there that was as enlightening as finding an extra fry at the bottom of the bag. Just a heads-up, make sure to check if the courses align with your specific job goals.

If you’re diving into supply chain certifications, I’d definitely recommend checking out the CSCP from APICS. It helped me understand the bigger picture of supply chain processes — sort of like learning the full route instead of just individual stops. @marcusg56 mentioned online options, but I found in-person training really enhanced my networking with industry peers.

I totally get your frustration with finding the right certification. I went through the CSCP from APICS last year, and while it gave me a solid foundation, I wish I’d explored the more hands-on workshops they offer too. You might want to check out some local sessions or webinars — they can really enhance what you learn in the courses.
